Whales have been dying at increased rates in the North Atlantic. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has declared multiple Unusual Mortality Events regarding whales since 2016. Unfortunately, this issue has become partisan, with differing information flooding the media. There has been much conflicting information regarding the role of offshore wind farms. The goal of this project is to compensate anyone who can come forward with information regarding whale deaths near offshore wind developments. Specifically, we’d like to see an acknowledgement by the NOAA and/or a major corporation involved in wind farm development that there is evidence of increased whale deaths caused by offshore wind and communication proving suppression of the evidence.
